Born almost a half an hour after her twin sister Aubrey, Gianna doesn't like to be pushed around, not even by her family which can cause minor drama between her and her siblings from time to time. She enjoyed having two siblings to grow up with especially a twin sister. Through high school in Pheonix Gia knew she wanted to be a school teacher and she prepared herself with her studies and after school work by working at a preschool part-time on the weekend. She would spend her summers at summer camp leading children through their summer camp activities. Which is where she met her future husband. They lived two hours away from each other, but made a relationship work through out their highschool years the best they could. Gia was the complete opposite of her sister socially growing up. She was more reserved when it came to anything outside of her interests. Gia spent a lot of her teenage years envying her sister. How she could meet anyone and be their best friend in two seconds. Her looks in Gia's teenage mind were better than hers. It took her a very long time to get past the envy and appriciate herself completely.
While in highschool she and Jake rented an apartment together. They both had made sure they got accepted into the same college so that they could finally live close to each other. Looking back now Gia would say that was their first mistake. They never got the chance to love anyone else. They never got the chance to expierence and expirament in life. Finishing college they both went straight into their careers. Gia choose to teach at the secondary level. There was something about that age group that clicked for her. It wasn't long after starting teaching, her sister left for a town not very far away. Since they were born this was the furthest they had lived apart. She understood but she still deeply missed her sister. Gia was extatic when she returned to Pheonix, but it didn't last long as this time she had moved across the country. Feeling betrayed this time she and Aubrey didn't talk for almost two years until she and Jake got engaged.
Gia and Jake stayed engaged for quite awhile. Mostly due to Gia's stubborness. She always would say when the time is right it will happen. This aggrivated Jake, but he loved her. He also knew pushing her wouldn't get them anywhere. Engaged for almost five years, she finally felt like it was time to get married. Jake and Gia were married October, 13 2013. She thought life was perfect, but Jake wasn't in the same boat. As it turns out married life wasn't exactly what he thought it was going to be. Gia wasn't ready for children. She spent much of her day around them and was happy to come home and spend her time with her husband doing whatever they felt like doing without the worry of children.
After three years Gia found out she was pregnant. Something she was quite terrified about at first. Jake was estatic, but his mind seemed preoccupied. Gia wrote it off as preparental panic. In the Spring of 2017 a week and a day after her birthday Gia gave birth to a baby girl, Brielle Evelyn Tate was born. Gia was eleated, but also felt guilty that she ever felt that she didn't want children. Brielle was a perfect newborn, atleast in Gia's opinion. Shortly after Christmas, Gia found out why Jake felt distant. Gia had been out with the baby enjoying the last bit of the winter break home from work. She had a few things to purchase and exchange from the holiday that she wanted to make sure she completed before going back to work. She was at one of her most favorite stores when she noticed her husband. Excitedly she took of to him stopping dead in her tracks when a woman she had only met a handful of times walked up to him. What happened next was a blur that she only remembers in flashes. She made her way back home. She promised herself that she wouldn't cry until she knew she was safe. She and Aubrey made a plan that she was going to move as quickly as she could closer to Aubrey. She set a date, roughly a month later, was able to take a leave of absense from her school, and secure a rental in Savannah, Georgia. Before she left she was able to serve her husband separation papers, but failed to disclose to him at the time that she and the baby were moving, miles away.
